Congratulations to Rabbi Barry and Judi Kenter as this year's honoree recipients of the Greenburgh Hebrew Center Gala.
Their commitment to The Greenburgh Hebrew Center Community and to the Rivertown Communities is unending.  These communities will be forever grateful for the many years of unparalleled service and dedication.
Rabbi, it has been an honor and a pleasure to work with you serving the families from GHC.  At a very difficult time, you have helped people to deal with great loss while upholding traditions, values and customs.
Thank you.
Your friend, Jim Dowdle and the staff from Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home
What course shall a man pursue in life?
That which does honor to his Maker.
And brings him esteem from his fellowmen.
        Selected from Pirke Avot

Thank you Rabbi Kenter for pursuing the course that has inspired us and the Greenburgh Hebrew Center for 32 years.

With gratitude and appreciation

How can one define a scholar?  The first and most important criterion is that he is capable of studying and understanding the Torah, a condition that calls for the highest possible degree of intellectual ability. This, however, is only one facet of the fundamental outlook of the scholar. It is not enough for him to be erudite and perceptive; he must also be a noble human being endowed with spiritual and humanitarian qualities.
He must be able to express his thoughts in a manner that even the youngest or least educated can understand.  He should also be able to make his remarks suitable to any occasion.
To us, this describes Rabbi Kenter. Both he and Judi roll up their sleeves and do many things around Greenburgh Hebrew Center that are not the usual responsibilities of a Rabbi or Rebbetzin.
 We will miss you.
Deanna Fried,  Robbie & Herb Goldberg, Karen & George Katz

Many thanks for the memories
You will always be in our thoughts

PS  We know you longer than anyone at GHC.  Remember when you stayed at our house in Ardsley when being interviewed.

When you find satisfaction
in your life's work,
you are truly blessed.

May you and Judi continue
to find blessings everywhere.

Wishing you both everything good.

Dear Barry and Judi,

     July 1984 - June 2015
How quickly the years roll by!

It seems like only yesterday that we welcomed you to our sanctuary.  We watched two toddlers running onto the bimah to be with their Abba, our new Rabbi.

Lots of life cycle events took place.  Rabbi's second Bat Mitzvah in November 1984 was our daughter Rochelle Milefsky.
Over the years Judi was involved in Sisterhood, Torah Fund and lots of food.

Now Abba and Ima are Sabbah and Safta.
And Rabbi will be Rabbi Emeritus after 31 fruitful, enriching years at GHC.

Barry and Judi - we wish you a Yasher Koach and Mazal Tov and a long, productive, healthy life ahead.  We are happy to call you friends.

To Rabbi Barry and Judi,
Mazel Tov on this special occasion.
You have been our spiritual leaders, teachers, advisors and friends.
You were always willing to listen to our concerns.
We traveled together on rocky roads and smooth roads.
We danced and laughed at simchas.
We cried and hugged through losses.
"We did what we needed to do."
We wish you adventures, happiness and good times.

And that's why we're all here, celebrating you like this.

So while we now wave our goodbyes to ol'GHC,
We are excited to spend our time with Zeyde and Bubby.
